A.D.1201. LETTER OF THE EARL OF ESSEX. aforesaid, that is to say, stating the amount of the money, the names of those who have paid it, the names of the vills from which the said money has been paid, and how much has been paid by each. And if any persons shall refuse to give their consent to the said collection, their names are to be entered in the register, and made known to us at London at the time aforesaid ; and the present writ and the names of the collectors are to be there presented. Farewell."
