jttrifdi&ïon and coercion of the church of Rome, and are willing and defirous that our holy father the pope fhould confirm all thefe things by given mo-nitions and gentle mandates for the accomplifliment" of them againft ourfelves, our heirs and fucceffors, • out commonalty, colleges, univerfities, or any parti-cular perfons whatfoever, and by giving general fentences of excommunication, fufpenfion or inter-dict, Which We may incur by ourfelves or by them, by this aft, when we fhall, either by oxtrfelves or others, infringe the peace, by taking or occupying / any town or caftle, city or fortrefs, or in any thing «elfe, by giving advice, aid or afBftance, public or private, againft the faid peace : from which fenteflces they cannot be abfolved until they fhall have madtf full fatisfa£tion to all thofe who by this zGt fhould have fuftained or might fuftain any damage.
