Mmy were flain and unhorfed between Noyoa and Orcamp*, and between Noyon and Pont TE* vequef, and in that neighbourhood. The deed and wounded lay in heaps on the ground, on the highways and between the hedges. The purfuit lafled as far as the gates of Noyoo^ which put that town in great danger of bfing ruined ; for fome of both parties who were theptj have declared, that if the Navarrois had chofe% they might for a certainty have entered the town, as thofe who belonged to it were fo much fright* ened, when they returned, that they forgot, or had not time to fliut the gate leading to-Compeigne* The bifhop of Noyon was taken prifoner, near the barriers, and gave his word to furrender bi»-fç}f, or Tie would have beet* killed.
